2010 Update
8/2/2010 The Town of North Branford is actively conducting the
2010 revaluation. The firm of Tyler/CLT is assisting the Town with this
process. Data mailers were sent to all residential property
owners, with follow-up inspections for those not returning the mailer. To
date, 89% of the mailers have been returned.
It would be greatly
appreciated for anyone still in possession of their data mailer to please
return the form at their earliest convenience. Other inspections are being performed based on recent
sales, building permits, or upon request of the homeowner.
For verification, their names and vehicles are registered with the
local police department. Currently, the Land Analysis Process is underway.
This includes reviewing and designating zoning & neighborhood
codes, special use assessments and creating new lot and excess acreage
values. This portion, along
with creating building value schedules, will consume the summer and early
fall. The market analysis is expected to be complete in the
early fall, with a “Notice of Assessment Change” mailed in late
November, reflecting the new value as of October 1, 2010.
At this time, an appointment may be scheduled to review your new

5/4/2010 The Town of North Branford is actively conducting the 2010 revaluation. The firm of Tyler/CLT is assisting the Town with this process. Field Inspectors are actively listing and measuring residential, commercial and industrial properties. For verification, their names and vehicles are registered with the local police department. A second mailing was sent on April 19, 2010 to all residential property owners not returning the first mailer. It would be greatly appreciated for anyone still in possession of their data mailer to please return the form at their earliest convenience. To date, 87% of the mailers have been returned. Any property owner not returning the form will prompt a physical inspection of the property. Other inspections are being performed based on recent sales, building permits, or upon request of the homeowner. Field Inspectors have begun the commercial/industrial review. For verification, their names and vehicles are registered with the local police department. Data mailers were sent to all residential property owners on March 1st, 2010. Information verification such as exterior siding, floor finish, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, etc., is requested of each property owner. Please check the information carefully, make corrections and comments as necessary, and return the mailer in the self-addressed, stamped envelope by March 17, 2010. A question & answer brochure is also included in the mailing, which may help you further understand the revaluation process. 2/23/10 The Town of North Branford 2010 revaluation has officially begun. The firm of Tyler/CLT is assisting the Town with this process. The first step in this process is conducting reviews of commercial and industrial properties and sending data mailers to residential property owners. Field Inspectors have begun the commercial/industrial review, starting on Rt. 80 and south. For verification, their names and vehicles are registered with the local police department. Data mailers will be sent out the beginning of March, 2010, to all residential property owners. Information verification is requested of each property owner. This includes reviewing such details on your info sheet as exterior siding, floor finish, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, etc. Please check the information carefully, make corrections and comments as necessary, and return the mailer by March 17, 2010. A self-addressed, stamped envelope will be provided for your convenience. A question & answer brochure will also be included in the mailing, which may help you further understand the revaluation process. In addition, a web page has been set up on the Towns’ website.
